Nintendo has just unveiled two new DSi Bundles for the Black Friday weekend: a Green DSi and an Orange DSi. Both the orange and green DSi system will be bundled with the Mario Party DS game.
The new DSi Green and DSi Orange colors go on sale on Nov. 26. They will be available (while supplies last) for $149.99.
In the past, we’ve been the first to mock Nintendo for releasing new versions of the same hardware all for the sake of fanboy sales. Well, the company’s sales results don’t lie — through the end of October, Nintendo had sold more than 43 million systems in the Nintendo DS family in the United States alone — so while we won’t endorse you buying a new DSi just for its color, we also recognize that plenty of people will hop on the Orange and Green DSi trains this Black Friday weekend.
These new DSi colors join Nintendo’s other great value bundles for the holidays that are being released in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game on the NES. These include the limited-edition red Nintendo DSi XL bundle ($179.99), which features a red Nintendo DSi XL with three Super Mario Bros.-themed graphics, Mario Kart DS and preloaded software including Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock. In addition to those preloaded titles, each Nintendo DSi system comes preloaded with Flipnote Studio, which lets users create, upload and share their own animations.
Nintendo is also offering the limited-edition red Wii hardware that includes a new red Wii Remote Plus controller, a red Nunchuk controller and games New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports for $199.99.
