Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released the first specific details today about the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy Six-Disc Blu-ray collection. The set, which ships Sept. 16, marks the first time the trilogy will appear together in a Blu-ray collection. You can pre-order it here.
As you’d expect from a high-profile set like this, the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy on Blu-ray includes a treasure trove of bonus features, including behind- the-scenes-documentaries, bloopers and a Blu-ray exclusive called “Enter the Maelstrom,” which takes viewers into the franchise’s epic conclusion.
The 1080p HD widescreen (2.35:1) video will be created from the original digital source files, as will the English 5.1 Uncompressed (48 kHz/24-bit) and Dolby 5.1 Digital audio. But you probably want to know about the bonus features, right? Good thing Disney released all the information about them.
