The PlayStation 4 is getting a new next-gen exclusive game, as the developers at Milestone have announced their MXGP video game will race onto PS4 this fall. The MXGP video game, the official motocross game, is already available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita.
The PS4 version of MXGP will mark the game’s first worldwide release. Milestone did not indicate any plans to release the MXGP video game for Xbox One, apparently making it a next-gen exclusive for Sony’s platform.
The PS4 version of MXGP features 18 tracks total, including four all-new circuits. The addition of Arco di Trento (Italy), Sevlievo (Bulgaria) Loket (Czech Republic) and Lierop (Europe) will give players the change to experience the full MXGP season.
With its appearance on a next-gen console, the MXGP video game is also being upgraded with real-time deformable terrain, more-detailed motorcycle models, four times more texture than on the PS3 version, improved character models and upgraded audio with sound positioning.
In addition, the MXGP for PS4 also includes updated 3D character models, a new lighting environmental system, almost twice the number of simultaneous riders on a track. There’s also one PS4-exclusive feature: the light on the DualShock 4 controller will change based on the bike’s engine RPM.
MXGP features all the riders, teams, bikes and rules from the official MXGP 2013 calendar, including a redesigned Career Mode.
Milestone did not announce a release date other than “Autumn” for the PS4 version of the MXGP video game.
