Nintendo Wii gamers will finally be able to get their hands on Guitar Hero’s stiff competition, Rock Band, as Harmonix and MTV Games have begun shipping the Rock Band Special Edition Bundle for the Wii. The Rock Band Wii “tour” will start on Sunday, June 22, which is when the bundle is expected to actually hit stores.
The Rock Band Special Edition Bundle carries a price tag of $169.99.
Rock Band for Wii features more than 60 songs across all genres of rock, including five extra bonus tracks exclusive to the Wii. The entire Rock Band Special Edition Bundle for Wii includes the game itself, wireless drums, drum sticks, a microphone, a guitar strap and a wireless guitar. If you’re jonesing for a really big band, stand-alone instruments are also available.
In addition, the Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 will ship for both the Wii and PS2 on July 15. This 20-song pack will cost $29.99 and include songs by Boston, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots and 30 Seconds to Mars.
