Rock Band 3 is getting some new singles next week via DLC, as Harmonix announced that tracks from The Police, OK Go and War are on their way for Rock Band gamers who love their 1970s and 1980s rock. The tracks will be available March 15 in the Rock Band 3 Music Store for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wi. European PS3 gamers will get them one day later, on March 16.
Two songs from English rockers The Police will also be available next week: “Every Breath You Take” and “So Lonely,” the latter of which first appeared on the band’s 1978 album, Outlandos D’Amour.
Grammy-winning band OK Go — comprised of Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka and Andy Ross — will add to its Rock Band catalog with “Shooting the Moon,” a song from its 2010 album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky (Deluxe Edition).
And War’s 1970 single “Spill the Wine” will also be available for Rock Band 3 next week. The song was War’s first chart hit, peaking at No. 3.
All these tracks will be original master recordings.
