For months, EA has talked about the Nintendo Wii-exclusive game Skate It and its innovative skateboarding controls. Today, EA announced that Nintendo Wii owners don’t have much longer to wait to get their hands — er, their feet — on the game, as Skate It will ollie into retail on Nov. 19 in North America and Nov. 20 in Europe.
A Nintendo DS version of Skate It will also appear in stores on those respective dates.
Skate It is one of the few games to give players another chance to use the Wii Balance Board, this time as a skateboard rather than a yoga mat. For those without a Wii Balance Board, Skate It will also support gameplay via the Wii Remote and Nunchuck (and DS stylus, on that version).
Skate It brings gamers back to San Vanelona, a city that’s been evacuated after being hit by a series of crazy events. Here, players embark on an adventure to become Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year. In Skate It, gamers can make skate spots their own by moving objects like ramps, rails and benches to fit their individual skating styles.
Skate It also includes several multiplayer challenges, including Best Trick and Best Line.
