Now this is the kind of kitsch I can get behind. Space Terror, a new iPad game available today on the App Store, was inspired by 1950s sci-fi movies and thrives on all the cheesy stuff that comes with the genre. Players take control of Earth to defend it against terror attacks from Outer Space. Firing a Mega Death Ray to vaporize the alien enemy, deflecting meteors with bouncing castles and all manner of cheesy offensive weapons are at your disposal. When it comes to defense, you can use shields to protect the planet, freeze meteors as they shower down on you, set up mine fields and watch the enemy evaporate in space, or launch a satellite to provide orbital defense.
By defending the planet, players can collect coins to upgrade his weapons and buy powerups to last against onslaught of enemies longer. A wave of terror from outer space is upon us! The end of the world is coming! Aliens from Outer space are trying to usurp our planet. Fight them, or die in flames!
