Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction for Xbox 360 has gone gold, Ubisoft announced today. But before you start asking “yeah, but when will the PS3 version wrap up?” it’s important to remember that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be exclusive to Microsoft’s console when it ships April 13. You can snag it from Amazon on the cheap by clicking here: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction.
The Splinter Cell series had always been outstanding, and its stealth-driven gameplay continually provides a nice break from all those twitch shooters. Yet Splinter Cell: Conviction sounds like it might switch things up a bit, with a slightly more open-ended style.
Here’s the scoop from Ubisoft: “Uniting revolutionary gameplay enhancements with a high octane, no-holds-barred storyline, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction arms you to the teeth with all the high tech weaponry and lethal skills of an elite operative and invites you to enter a dangerous world where justice means making your own rules.”
Making your own rules…sounds a bit more open to us.
Here’s the general story background, just for your reference: “An investigation into his daughters death unwittingly leads former agent Sam Fisher to discover hes been betrayed by his prior agency, the Third Echelon. Now a renegade, Fisher finds himself in a race against time to thwart a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions.”
Yep, we’re stoked.
