So the weather’s cold and the traffic sucks, making it hard to go out and buy Christmas gifts. Don’t sweat it; if you own a Wii, just download a gift instead. Today, Nintendo uploaded three games to its online Wii Shop Channels: two for WiiWare and one for the Virtual Console.
The games uploaded for WiiWare are Strong Bad Episode 5 and Big Kahuna Party. The Virtual Console game is Enduro Racer, which originally appeared on the Sega Master System.
Strong Bad Episode 5 is called “8-Bit Is Enough” and costs 1,000 Wii Points. In this episode, Trogdor, the beefy-armed dragon of legend, has shaken free from his video game and is running through the countryside. With a dragon on the loose and 8-bit classics leaking into the real world, it’s all fun and games until the proud land of Strong Badia falls to Trogdor’s fiery wrath. Now Strong Bad must take back the night by sending this scorching menace back into his arcade cabinet once and for all.
Big Kahuna Party (700 Wii Points), meanwhile, has players embarking on a tropical party-game adventure. Things start off with the popular match-three game in which players work together to complete the levels before the timer runs out, or go head-to-head. The game has 99 levels and 20 hidden tropical sea creatures to unlock.
And the Virtual Console game, Enduro Racer (500 Wii Points), is based on the popular Sega arcade game and was redesigned for the Sega Master System. Enduro Racer has players ride as fast as they can to pass as many cars and bikes as possible while also avoiding obstacles and pitfalls such as debris on the road.
