Sega today announced that the Sega Genesis classic Super Thunder Blade is coming to the Wii Virtual Console, and it’s doing so sooner than you might think: this Monday, September 17.
Super Thunder Blade will be available on the Wii Shop Channel for 800 Wii Points, the base price for a Sega Genesis title.
Super Thunder Blade, the sequel to Thunder Blade, lets gamers take control of a new attack helicopter in a series of attacks against guerilla armies bent on (what else?) taking over the world. Enemies include submarines, tanks and fighter planes, among other foes. Players must dodge oncoming fire, use various weapons to eliminate all enemy targets and ultimately destroy a top-secret guerilla base.
