Xbox Live Arcade is taking a break from “original” content this week, opting to feature two classic games this Wednesday: Sensible World of Soccer and Tempest.
Sensible World of Soccer draws on the 1996-97 original to re-create an influential game in high-definition graphics. Players can challenge friends over Xbox Live, kick it solo in Career mode or flex their managerial muscles by leading a team to the Champions league. Sensible World of Soccer will be available worldwide (except in Korea) for 800 Microsoft Points.
A true classic will also appear on Xbox Live Arcade, as Tempest is headed to Microsoft’s online service. An intense shooter requiring skill and lightning-quick reflexes, Tempest has players shoot and destroy enemy hordes across fluorescent geometric battlefields. As you likely remember from our Tempest preview, the game that hits Wednesday contains both the original and enhanced gameplay modes. Tempest will be available worldwide (except in Japan and Korea) for 400 Microsoft Points.
