The Cold War has gotten hotter, and mutually assured nuclear destruction is just around the corner. Or is it? In the new Tropico 4 Apocalypse DLC, it’s up to players to prepare their island nations, and their Tropican citizens, for the end. Or, of course, choose to usher it in. How’s that for God-game power?
Kalypso’s new Tropico 4 Apocalypse DLC is priced at $4.99 USD on the Xbox 360 and PC. It’s available for download starting now.
The downloadable content doesn’t leave players high and dry with gadgets, nor does it force them to create or beat-back a nuclear armageddon using nothing but coconuts and salt water. Far from it, in fact, as Tropico 4 Apocalypse gives players the tools they need to protect their island nations from the nuclear threat: protective shelters, a new survivalist trait (helps with scavenging food) and more.
In Tropico 4 Apocalypse, the Cold War has turned hot and nuclear conflict is inevitable. Prepare the island nation of Tropico for the coming apocalypse and carefully choose which resources and factions to save from certain eradication. The new Nuclear Shelter provides and converts faction bonuses depending on its work mode. Don the new Hazmat suit and choose the Survivalist trait to become a true doomsday prepper.
Among the DLC’s key features: are a new building (a Nuclear Shelter that provides bonuses depending on work mode), a new trait (Survivalist, which makes Tropicans need less food), a new outfit (the Hazmat suit, of course) and a new mission called “How I learned to love the bomb.”
