Unfair Stunt is an over-the-top car game. Its graphics are 3D, its levels are unique, and it’s just plain fun to play. Within seconds of learning to drive, you can fly across absolutely insane courses in the sky. Unfair Stunt isn’t a racing simulation like Project CARS or Gran Turismo; it’s something completely different. Imagine an addictive casual game with out-of-this-world physics. Add modern graphics to the equation, and you’ve got a fantastic driving adventure.
Vehicles
All worthy driving and racing games have great vehicles. Some titles opt for meticulous models of real-world street machines. Others showcase concept cars and fantasy racers. Unfair Stunt offers a mix of these approaches, with unnamed vehicles that look quite similar to cars from Volkswagen, Mercedes, and BMW. There are high-powered hatchbacks, surprisingly fast 80s-esque coupes, and a couple of exotic cars. If you’ve ever wanted to drive a Lotus Esprit or an Audi A8 at dangerously fast speeds, now you can.
Tracks
There are 45 levels in Unfair Stunt, each of which features new ramps, turns, and/or tricky obstacles. Every single piece of every track floats above a deadly ocean. To complete a stunt, you’ll have to drive across the wacky tracks without falling into the water.
The first course is simple: drive straight ahead at full speed, and you’ll succeed without issue. There are golden stars in the sky and cardboard boxes at the end of the track. Achieving a perfect score in Round 1 is easy. In later levels, you’ll have to become an expert driver to hit all of the marks. There are three stars on each course, and your progress is timed. Drive through the stars, and don’t worry about crashing into the cardboard boxes at the end of the course. They’re there to protect your vehicle.
Crashes
If you crash into anything before the finish line, you’ll have to pay—literally. That’s because in Unfair Stunt, damage costs money (i.e. points). Thus, exploring different routes and methods for reaching the finish line could have major consequences. This is an unfortunate way of essentially punishing players for driving recklessly and having some extracurricular fun.
Cars are wrecked in magnificent ways, with individual doors and other components breaking off and flying away. Driving over a speed boost is an excellent way to zoom across big gaps on tracks. But, it’s also a surefire way to cause some damage. The faster you go, the harder you’ll crash. Even a rough landing can cause the trunk of your vehicle to disappear in a split second. Crashes are exciting to see, but paying for them is never fun.
Final Thoughts
No two courses in Unfair Stunt are the same. The game’s 3D graphics and loose physics lead to all sorts of exciting action. There are vertical loops, disappearing platforms, and obstacles that are designed to crush your car. Unfair Stunt is for open-minded gamers who aren’t afraid of driving upside down. Pick a car, activate the NOS, and be prepared to fly.
