The original Halo is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. So is Psychonauts. So is Fable. And it all happens on December 4.
On that date, the Xbox 360 will get a free system update that adds an option called Xbox Originals. This new feature will let consumers download and own full Xbox games including Halo, Psychonauts, Fable and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. And these games will all be playable directly on Xbox 360.
Xbox Originals will span multiple first-gen Xbox titles, from action-adventure to classic role-playing games. With no disc necessary and for 1,200 Microsoft Points per game, Xbox Live members can rediscover these titles or check out a game they missed the first time around.
This launch line-up is only the beginning, as Xbox 360 owners will see a growing catalogue of Xbox games for download to own over the coming year.
