The Viking culture has a reputation for being adventurous sea-farers, but a new game called Viking Saga focuses on the mundane aspects that enabled that reputation. Viking Saga is a story-driven resource-management game that’s been available on PC, Mac and iPad. Today, it’s available for iPhones.
Viking Saga is a game about a young Viking prince Ingolf. His father king Arnar possesses a cursed ring that he wants to get rid of. In order to do so Ingolf will have to travel to a far away land, find a vicious and envious dwarf who put a spell on his father and give the ring back to him. On his journey Ingolf will visit beautiful northern sites, encounter beautiful creatures that inhabit these lands and get acquainted with intriguing characters.
To finish every of the game missions players have to assign their workers with various tasks, collect important resources and complete the level before the time runs out. Through the lengthy campaign players will visit 47 unique levels. Each of them has something new about it: an animal to encounter, an object to interact with, or an NPC to help. The detailed story of the game is told in fully-voiced cutscenes illustrated by the artfully drawn comics.
