Spoonjack, the creator of iBone – the Pocket Trombone, today announced the release of a new game called Vuvuzela Man 2014. The company bills Vuvuzela Man 2014 as “the world’s most powerful yet personal Vuvuzela for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.”
In Vuvuzela Man 2014, users can select one of several vuvuzela designs and with Multi-Vuvuzela technology, then play up to four Vuvuzelas simultaneously. Through Reality Mode, Vuvuzela Man 2014 has become the first augmented-reality vuvuzela, enabling users to quickly and easily augment their reality with an ensemble of honking vuvuzelas.
“This is great step forward for the Vuvuzela,” said Tom Scharfeld, founder of Spoonjack. “With Vuvuzela Man 2014 anyone can enjoy the Vuvuzela when and where it’s otherwise been impossible – whether it’s been banned by their sporting authority, shunned by friends and neighbors, or simply can’t fit in their bag.”
Vuvuzela Man 2014 offers an array of controls. Touch the display or blow into the microphone to produce a sound, slide a finger to bend the pitch, and raise and lower the bell to adjust volume. With each additional touch, a new Vuvuzela pops up and plays.
Users can pick their preferred vuvuzela from colors including red, green, yellow or blue. With the World Teams upgrade, they can additionally support their favorite team and choose from one of the contenders in the 2014 World Cup.
Vuvuzela Man 2014 is also the World’s first augmented-reality Vuvuzela app. Through Reality Mode users can effectively “see through” their device and augment their reality with the power and beauty of the vuvuzela.
Though optimized to simulate the noisy ‘shower of sound’ after which the Vuvuzela was named, Vuvuzela Man 2014 also allows users to try to make music and play along with any tune in their music library.
