Since Ubisoft launched Watch Dogs to record-setting results this week, millions of gamers have been wondering what’s included in the Watch Dogs Season Pass. Is it new missions? New skins? New modes? And when’s it available? Here are the Watch Dogs Season Pass details for all those who’ve been wondering.
Just for good measure, we’ve also included information about the Watch Dogs ctOS mobile companion app.
First things first: the Watch Dogs Season Pass is available now. The Season Pass was actually available at launch for $19.99, and it’ll be available for the foreseeable future, or until all the included DLC has been released individually.
Of all the Watch Dogs Season Pass details designed to get gamers’ attention, none is more intriguing than a new stand-alone “mini campaign.” Most of Watch Dogs follows Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt his family, players will be able to monitor and hack their enemies by manipulating everything connected to the city’s Central Operating System (ctOS). With the Watch Dogs Season pass, though, there’s a new single-player story featuring another character altogether.
This new story features T-Bone, a brilliant but eccentric hacker who lives in the same Watch Dogs world as Aiden Pearce but has his own backstory, skills and enemies. T-Bone isn’t therefore just a newly skinned Aiden, but his own character and a unique vehicle to deliver new Watch Dogs story elements.
Still, the T-Bone mini-campaign isn’t the only thing to pay attention to in the Watch Dogs Season Pass. Owners will also get a new Digital Trip game mode called Conspiracy!, which lets players hunt down cyborgs in an alternate universe.
The Watch Dogs Season Pass also includes the “Untouchables Pack,” which includes an M1 sub-machine gun and a 1920s mobster outfit. Come on, the game takes place in Chicago, do you didn’t really think Ubisoft would not pay homage to the classic Chicago mobster films, did you?
It’s worth pointing out that the “Untouchables Pack” is exclusive to the Watch Dogs Season Pass in North America.
All Watch Dogs Season Pass holders will also have access to all future Watch Dogs DLC one week before non-Season-Pass owners.
For PlayStation owners only, Watch Dogs also offers four extra missions that amount to about one additional hour of gameplay, a unique White Hat Hacker outfit, and bonus tech points that provide new knowledge about an important faction in the Watch Dogs universe. All of this content is unlockable now via a special code.
For those wondering about the Watch Dogs mobile companion app, here’s the skinny. The Watch Dogs ctOS mobile companion app is available free for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices. The app is a real-time companion game that lets players connect and compete with friends even when they’re not near their home console. Take that, Xbox One SmartGlass! The ctOS mobile companion app supports dual-screen gameplay that enables gamers to play from anywhere, at any time. Just don’t let people think you’re actually hacking something nearby; you might get busted.
