The Nintendo Wii will get its first trivia game this holiday season, as Electronic Arts today announced it’s working on a yet-to-be-named product that’s focused on trivia for the whole family.
EA’s casual trivia game for the Wii will combining age-targeted trivia with action-based gestures. The unnamed game will tailor questions to the contestant’s age, allowing friends and family members of all ages to play simultaneously. The game will then track every player’s answers and adjust the difficulty level to provide the most appropriate level of challenge.
The Wii’s ability to track gestures will technically make everything a game, from spinning the category wheel and doing tug-of-wars over correct answers to having “dance-offs” for additional points.
The game, which will feature 20,000 questions, will also feature a family mode in which everyone tries to beat the clock, as well as a rapid-fire competitive mode for groups of friends. There will also be collaborative game modes.
