The Wolfenstein series hasn’t always been one known for its narrative. When we saw Wolfenstein: The New Order at E3 last summer, we left thinking that may change. The game was well paced, had unique weapons and left us craving one critical bit of info: the Wolfenstein: The New Order release date.
Now we know that bit of info, and Bethesda has made it extra sweet with a pre-order bonus. Wolfenstein: The New Order will release on May 20 this year in North America and throughout Europe on May 23. As an added bonus, everyone who pre-orders Wolfenstein: The New Order will receive an invitation to access the DOOM beta with their copy of Wolfenstein.
Click the following link to pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order from Amazon. We’ve reviewed the DOOM beta terms and conditions, and it doesn’t specify that pre-orders need to come through Bethesda’s own store. So, if you want to start playing your pre-ordered game upon the Wolfenstein: The New Order release date itself, it seems like you can go ahead and order the game from your favorite retailer.
Wolfenstein: The New Order reignites the franchise widely recognized for pioneering the first-person shooter genre. Set in the 1960s, Wolfenstein: The New Order shows the monstrous Nazi regime using mysterious advanced technology to win World War II. Now the Nazis rule the globe with an iron fist.
Somebody cue the Indiana Jones music.
Wolfenstein: The New Order sends you across Europe on a harrowing mission to bring down the Nazi war machine. That’s always where the fun begins, right?
The Wolfenstein: The New Order release date mentioned above applies to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game. And by that, we mean every version of the game. Wolfenstein: The New Order hasn’t yet been rated by the ESRB, but we’d be highly surprised if it didn’t get an “M” rating.
The DOOM beta access pre-order bonus has some terms and restrictions, which you can read about here. It’s all pretty standard fare, but it’s always a good idea to read the fine print.
