The World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta is up and rolling on Xbox Live, marking one of the more-anticipated betas to hit the Xbox 360 in recent memory. In fact, the World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta was probably one of the more talked-about experiences at E3 this summer, save for all the next-gen revelations.
Well, now that the World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta is moving right along, Wargaming is scheduling to run “a ton of special programs aimed at giving players cool, new tanks to keep, gold to use during the beta testing phase, as well as a 5x experience boost.”
Yeah, we figured you’d want to hear about that. If you haven’t gotten into the beta yet, you can register at this site. Keep in mind that an Xbox Live Gold account is required to participate in the program.
So, here are the special promos that Wargaming has planned this weekend for the World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta:
- From 4:00 PM PDT to 9:00 PM PDT on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, all players who log in to the game and complete 50 matches will receive a M22 Locust Tier III premium tank in their garage when the game launches.
- Also from 4:00 PM PDT to 9:00 PM PDT on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, if the game reaches a participation milestone of 10,000 simultaneous online players, all players who log in and play during those times will receive a Ram II Tier V premium tank in their garage when the game launches.
- All day Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, all players in the beta will receive a 5x experience bonus for the first win on each tank they own and will be able to visit the in-game store and make a one-time, $0 purchase, of 2,500 gold for use during the beta.
Even if you’re not normally into tanks or beta programs, it’s nice to see a publisher giving participants all this love. Often times a beta is just a “test the servers” thing that has people getting in, getting out and going on about their merry way. The fact that the World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta has something more than that is, I hope, a sign of things to come with future beta programs regardless of platform.
