Microsoft and its ID@Xbox partners keep plugging along it seems, as a new indie game called Silence – The Whispered World 2 was announced for Xbox One. Silence – The Whispered World 2, which will ship simultaneously on PC (via Steam) and Mac, will release for Xbox One in early 2015.
Silence – The Whispered World 2 is an adventure game that follows Noah, who is about to lose his little sister Renie to the perils of war. He barely manages to follow her and finds himself alone, back in Silence – the world he once traveled as Sadwick the clown. And even here war ravages the land. In search for his sister, Noah joins a group of rebels who fight the false Queen.
Featuring completely new 3D visuals, Silence – The Whispered World 2 will offer many unique and exciting features. Sadwick’s and Renie’s quest will lead them to a visually stunning and emotionally deep adventure, with many mysteries to unravel around Sadwick, his sister, and the world of Silence.
Although a PS4 version has not been announced, a statement from the publisher implies a PS4 version of the game isn’t out of the question. It may just still be being tested for feasibility.
“Silence has always been a multi-platform project,” said Daedalic Entertainment Studio Manager Steffen Boos. “From early on, we planned to release Silence – The Whispered World 2 on consoles as well, but we wanted to make absolutely certain the controls were tuned to each platform before announcing its console status.”
