If you’re sick and tired of shooting rivals in GTA IV, Activision is inviting Xbox 360 owners to take a break today to munch some bamboo as a panda. Then, when that’s all done, to go kick some fuzzy butt in the new Kung Fu Panda demo.
The Kung Fu Panda demo just hit Xbox Live Marketplace. It’s free, of course. The full game is based on the upcoming film from DreamWorks.
The Kung Fu Panda Xbox 360 demo features a multi-stage level in which players assume the role of Po the Panda, who unleashes a variety of combo attacks against multiple enemies, navigates multi-tiered environments and executes the “Panda Stumble” and “Panda Quake” super moves.
Players who beat the demo will receive an exclusive cheat code to enter when the full game releases. This code will allow them to unlock new playable characters in the Xbox Live multiplayer mode.
The full version of Kung Fu Panda takes gamers through 13 levels from the movie and beyond. In the game, players must master the specialized kung fu fighting styles of Po, his teacher Shifu and the legendary kung-fu masters called the Furious Five. Po the Panda’s goal? To become the Dragon Warrior and finally defeat the ultimate enemy, Tai Lung.
Kung Fu Panda will ship June 3 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, DS and PC.
