This Wednesday, Xbox Live Arcade will release two new games, just like normal. But unlike normal weeks, Shrek N Roll and Screwjumper will put Xbox Live Arcade over the century mark in terms of downloadable games. With the two releases, XBLA will have more than 100 downloadable games available.
Shrek N Roll has players joining Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Puss in Boots — along with 20 other twisted fairy tale friends — to participate in 16 challenging mazes across four unique environments in Far Far Away Land’s newest competitive tournament. Players can test their tilting and rolling skills in Single Player mode, challenge others in Versus mode, or work together with friends and family in two-player local Co-op mode. The game will be available for 800 Microsoft Points.
Screwjumper, the second Wednesday release and the game that’ll be Xbox Live Arcade’s 100th available game, has players jumping down a series of mine shafts to drive aliens back to their home world by destroying their precious mining equipment. The free-falling action takes place on four different planets and features a total of 20 mines. Screwjumper allows players to compete with friends locally via a split-screen mode, as well as over Xbox Live. Like Shrek N Roll, Screwjumper will be available for 800 Microsoft Points.
