X-Men Origins: Wolverine is in stores now — for your home video game console, that is. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, on which the game is based and which makes its theatrical debut today, but it’ll be quite a while before it shows up on DVD or Blu-ray.
So…presuming you want to scratch that X-Men Origins: Wolverine itch at home, Activision’s new PS3 and Xbox 360 game, developed by Raven Software, lets players harness Wolverine’s brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities and indestructible adamantium claws while battling powerful forces and uncovering the mysteries behind Wolverine’s origin.
Since it’s based on the movie, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game features the voices of some of the film’s leading men: Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) and will.i.am (John Wraith).
The X-Men Origins: Wolverine game is an action-adventure title that takes gamers through and beyond the movie’s storyline. The PS3 and Xbox 360 game challenges players to hone their animal instincts as they uncover hidden dangers, hunt and defeat enemies and take on seemingly insurmountable situations while discovering the truth about Wolverine’s tragic past.
There are also versions for the PC, Nintendo Wii, PS2 and PSP. But it’s safe to say most DailyGame readers will be looking for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
